Privacy Policy
Effective October 3, 2026
This explains what Flux TV ("Flux TV") collects, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
- Account: your name, email address and a scrambled (hashed) password.
- Profiles: each profile's name, colour, picture, whether it is an adult or a child profile, and a scrambled PIN if it is locked.
- Viewing: what each profile watches and listens to, how far, and for how long. This is how creators are paid and how "continue watching" works.
- What you add: comments, replies, likes, follows, your list, playlists and reports.
- Payments: the card type, last four digits and expiry, your invoices and donations. Full card numbers are handled by our payment processor and are not stored by us.
- Devices: the browser, IP address and time of each sign-in and stream, to keep the account secure and enforce the limit on simultaneous streams.
- Creators: studio details, uploaded files and a fingerprint (hash) of each file, earnings, and payout status from Stripe. Bank details go to Stripe, not to us.
Uploaded files, fingerprints and AI-generated work
AI-generated work is not allowed on Flux TV. Every video and audio file a creator uploads is fingerprinted: we compute a hash, a short code that identifies that exact file, and keep it with the studio that uploaded it. If work is found to be AI-generated, or is removed after a copyright notice, we take it down and add its fingerprints to a block list, so the same files cannot be uploaded again by anyone. A fingerprint identifies a file, not a person, and cannot be turned back into the file.
Creator identity checks
Before a creator can publish, Stripe checks their identity using a government-issued photo ID and a selfie. Those images go to Stripe and are handled under Stripe's privacy policy. Flux TV receives and keeps only the result (verified or not), the date, and a reference to the check.
How we use it
To run the service, take payment, pay creators, keep accounts secure, deal with reports and copyright notices, and meet our legal duties. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
- Service providers that work for us: video hosting and delivery (Bunny), payouts and payments (Stripe), hosting and database providers, and the messaging service our moderation team uses to receive reports.
- Creators see totals (views, watch time, followers) and what you post on their page, not who watched.
- Copyright notices: if you send one, we pass it, including your name and contact details, to the creator it concerns, as the law provides. Counter-notices are passed to the person who made the claim in the same way.
- The law: when we are legally required to, or to protect people's safety or our rights.
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to keep the site secure. We use no advertising or tracking cookies. Some choices (such as closing a banner) are remembered in your browser's storage.
Children
Accounts are for adults. A kids profile is created and controlled by the parent or guardian who owns the account; it shows only titles suitable for children and cannot comment, donate or reach account settings. For a kids profile we keep only what the parent enters (a name and picture) and that profile's viewing history. A parent can see, change or delete a kids profile at any time under Manage profiles, and deleting it deletes its history. We do not knowingly let children create their own accounts; if you believe one has, contact us and we will delete it.
How long we keep it
For as long as your account is open. When you delete your account we delete your profiles, viewing history, comments, playlists and payment details. We keep invoices and payout records for as long as tax and accounting law requires, and reports and copyright notices for as long as needed to handle them.
Your choices and rights
- See and download your data: Account → Privacy & data → Download my data.
- Correct it in your account and profile settings.
- Delete your account and data: Account → Privacy & data → Delete account.
- Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California) you may also have the right to object to or restrict some uses, and to complain to your data protection authority. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
Where it is processed
Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.
Security
Passwords and PINs are stored scrambled, connections are encrypted, and video is protected in transit. No system is perfectly secure; tell us at once if you think your account has been misused.
Changes and contact
We will post any change here and, if it is significant, tell you by email. Questions or requests: shawnhamby38@gmail.com, or Flux TV, 2215 N 23rd St #1051, McAllen, TX 78501, United States.
